QPR welcome Nottingham Forest to Loftus Road on Sunday for a potential first versus second clash, and Forest striker Marcus Tudgay has been identified as the One to Watch.

Name: Marcus Tudgay

Date of Birth: 03/12/1983

Former Clubs: Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday

Appearances (Goals): 289 (71)

28 year old striker Marcus Tudgay will be looking to build on an impressive goalscoring start for his new club, and add to his tally of five goals in order to help his team close the gap on leaders Queens Park Rangers. Tudgay has helped his team to six consecutive wins and the Rs players will have be on the lookout for a formidable Forest attacking force.

Tudgay initially came through the ranks at Derby County before spending a successful four years at the club. He made his senior debut in August 2002 and went on to make 99 appearances in all competitions scoring 18 goals. His final goal for The Rams was coincidentally against future club Sheffield Wednesday in 2006.

Tudgay joined The Owls for an undisclosed fee in January 2006, penning a contract to keep him at Hillsborough until 2010. He quickly made himself at home as he scored on his debut, and soon earned his credentials as a proven Championship striker.

Tudgay had his most prolific season to date in 2008/09, scoring 14 goals including a stunning strike at Bramall Lane against Sheffield United which sealed a memorable double over their city rivals. He swept the end of season board of awards, including the Goal of the Year for his derby day winner and was also crowned the Owls Player of the Year. The striker once again top-scored for Wednesday in 2009/10 with ten goals to his name.

He was linked with a host of league clubs including Burnley and Blackpool but eventually made a loan move to Nottingham Forest permanent in January 2011. He has already scored 5 goals in 9 appearances for The Reds and the Rs defence will have to limit Tudgay`s ability to hold the ball up and to link nicely with fellow attackers.
