Preston North End’s left footed winger Keith Treacy has been pinpointed by Vital QPR as the One to Watch as QPR travel to Deepdale on Saturday.

Name: Keith Treacy

Date of Birth: 13/09/1988

Former Clubs: Blackburn Rovers, Stockport County, Sheffield United

Appearances (Goals): 81 (7)

22 year old Keith Treacy will be determined to rejuvenate bottom of the table Preston and inflict a loss on a Rangers side looking to capitalise on a PNE side very much short on confidence. Still a very exciting prospect, Treacy has managed to shine in a team that finds themselves at the bottom of the npower Championship.

After a very successful spell at Irish Youth football club Belvedere, Treacy signed his first professional contract at Blackburn Rovers in 2005. Before making his debut in a League Cup tie in 2007 against Portsmouth and his first start against Coventry City in the FA Cup, Treacy went out on loan to League Two side Stockport County. Only four appearances followed for the midfielder before he returned to Rovers.

In July 2009 Treacy joined Championship side Sheffield United on a 6 month loan deal, making his debut for the Blades in a 0-0 draw with Middlesbrough on the first day of the 2009/2010 season. He managed to get on the score sheet in a 1-1 draw with Leicester and he made 16 appearances in total before he terminated his loan deal to return to Blackburn in early December.

Treacy then signed a two and a half year deal with an option for a further year at Preston North End on 1 February 2010. He started off with a string of substitute appearances but managed to force himself into the first team after impressing the manager and netted his first goal for the Lancashire outfit against Crystal Palace in April.

A pacy and tricky left footed winger, who can play on either flank, Treacy has a dangerous crossing ability and with Preston still looking for a first win under manager Phil Brown Rangers will have to be on the lookout for the Dublin born midfielder looking to work his magic.
