Millwall winger James Henry has been identified by Vital QPR as the One to Watch as QPR travel to The Den on Tuesday night for another tough away day.
Name: James Henry
Date of Birth: 10/06/1989
Former Clubs: Reading, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth
Appearances (Goals):(15)
Young Millwall midfielder James Henry will be out to continue an impressive first full season in a promising career as The Lions look to stop a rampant Rangers side. Possessing superb dead ball skills, the 21 year old will certainly enjoy testing his credentials against a top of the table team.
Henry initially rose through the ranks at Championship side Reading`s Youth Academy, eventually signing a one year professional contract with The Royals in 2006. Limited first team opportunities for the Reading-born player led to him being loaned out to Nottingham Forest in 2007, however having only just played one match he returned to the Madjeski after just 3 weeks.
He made his Reading debut in 2007 coming on as a substitute in a 4-2 loss to Liverpool in a League Cup tie. Later that year he moved on loan to Bournemouth where he scored twice on his debut and went on to score 4 league goals in 11 appearances. In January that season he was sent out on loan to Norwich City, however again he only managed to make a minimal 3 appearances.
In March 2009 he made his fourth loan spell of his short career, joining Millwall on a one month emergency loan. He later joined The Lions the following season where he made 27 appearances in total, scoring 8 goals, including a stunning hat-trick against Tranmere Rovers. He was a prominent figure in Millwall`s promotion from League 1 as he netted impressive goals against Colchester and Brentford.
Stuck behind the likes of Jimmy Kebe and Jobi McAnuff at the Madjeski, he readily accepted a three-year deal with The Lions and signed for an undisclosed fee in 2010. With only 3 league goals to his name this year, Henry will be looking to add to that tally and help his teammates secure 3 points against The Rs.
