QUEENS Park Rangers are closing in on Peter Odemwingie and Jermaine Jenas according to Sky Sports

Odemwingie has been continually linked with QPR and has made no secret of his desire to move to W12. The deal however is hinging on West Bromwich Albion, who are playing hardball with the fee.

Indeed Albion requested to take Junior Hoilett on loan as a makeway, according to Sky Sports, with the Canadian’s wages to be met by QPR during the term.

QPR chairman Tony Fernandes has rebuked this suggestion on Twitter: ‘Junior hoillet not going anywhere. He’s is a key player for the future. Needs a good run in the team’

Meanwhile Jermaine Jenas’ on/off deal has taken a positive turn with the midfielder reported to be having a medical with a view to a loan deal.

However deals for Andros Townsend, David Bentley and sadly Peter Crouch appear to be dead in the water as Rangers look to add to their earlier signing of Christopher Samba.
