The transfer saga of the season is finally due to reach a conclusion as Lee Camp has a medical with Nottingham Forest.
It has been over half a year in the making but the former Derby County stopper is poised to switch to the City Ground after QPR confirmed he is undergoing a medical with the reds.
The 24-year-old stopper had been on loan with Forest for a period last season before the unveiling of former Rams manager Billy Davies. Although the two haven’t seen eye to eye in the past Davies was keen to add Lee to his squad.
Today that came to fruition after the keeper agreed personal terms with Forest with the deal due to go through in the next 24 hours pending a medical.
Although the club is yet to express its thanks to the goalkeeper, Vital QPR would like to place on record its thanks to Lee for his service, most notably during a difficult period under John Gregory where he helped the R`s secure their Championship safety.
Thank you and good luck Lee.
