Many QPR fans have had their say on Twitter over what they should do about the goalkeeping position.
Fan account @QPRHQ asked fans whether or not they needed to sign a goalkeeper this month, to which there was a pretty mixed response from their fanbase.
So far this season, Joe Lumley has been the number 1, however, Liam Kelly has also featured as well – they are just 24 and 23 respectively.
Additionally, they have Seny Dieng, 25, who is currently on loan at Doncaster in League One, and he has been churning out some top performances at that level.
Bearing that in mind, there is definitely no shortage of ‘keepers at the club, but the question remains: are they good enough?
Who should be QPR's number 1?
Liam Kelly
Joe Lumley
Some fans think that Lumley deserves the benefit of the doubt and should be trusted with gloves, while others think that if they are serious about getting up the table then they should invest elsewhere.
Below are some fans who personally think that a new man between the sticks is needed. Many rued the ‘inconsistent’ Lumley, and others suggested that two clean sheets simply isn’t enough at this stage of the campaign.
Here are some of the replies below…
Yes, 2 clean sheets in the league is not acceptable from a team looking to start rising the table. Think about how many points we've dropped due to unforced errors, and where we'd be without them.

Well lumley is inconsistent and Kelly is unproven as yet and barnes is untried so I think maybe another keeper is needed but definitely we need to shore up our defence #QPR #superhoops #coyrs

Yes lumley is to incconsistent kelly is awful and only kept 2 clean sheets between them ee need one quick but it isn’t a problem if we dont get one

Other fans had some more optimism for what they have at the moment. One fan suggested that ‘faith’ was required, while others praised the depth they have.
No we have two keepers that we need to keep faith in. We also have Dieng on loan who can come back

Nope. The kid is going alright and we’ve got competent backup/competition in Kelly, not to mention the mysterious Seny Dieng out on loan too.
