News; QPR duo worth a combined £1.26m edging closer to a return

|

Mark Warburton has confirmed that both Yoann Barbet and Liam Kelly are nearing a return to the first team.

Warburton confirmed that both of them are back out on the grass and training with the squad – so he is hopeful both will be available soon.

Barbet is further ahead than Kelly, but the former Nottingham Forest boss warned that we must be very careful with both of them.

The Rs are also boosted by the return of Geoff Cameron tonight, and he should slot straight back into the defence as we look to end this poor run, we currently find ourselves on.

The return of both Kelly and Barbet should help us reignite our season as we have missed their influence on the squad.

Kelly, who is valued at £360k, was made the first-choice goalkeeper after the 2-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion, and Joe Lumley was at fault for Fulham’s second goal on Friday.

First, he gave the ball away, and then he failed to stop Aboubakar Kamara’s shot despite getting a full hand to it.

We have also missed Barbet’s influence who has made 12 appearances this season and played his part in seven wins – since he was injured, we have not won a single game.

Who's return will be more important?

Barbet

Kelly

So, it would be nice to get the £900k rated man back into the team as quickly as possible.

It is good to hear that this duo are closing in on a return, and soon we should have a fully fit squad available.
