Daniel Nardiello was today left in no mans land with the club that have held the biggest interest, Barnsley, have refused to make a bid for the Welsh striker.

Nardiello joined the R`s from the Tykes last summer under John Gregory`s reign as manager but failed to make an impact under three Rangers managers in his short spell in W12.

In the January transfer window he went back to Barnsley with his tail firmly between his legs after refusing to sign a deal and instead opting for QPR. The deal to take him to Barnsley was on loan until the end of the season.

He made 13 appearances for the Tykes scoring 1 goal, however that was not enough to impress manager Simon Davey to bring him back to Oakwell, here speaking to the Barnsley Official Website:

“We have let Daniel return to QPR and will not be pursuing a longer deal”

With Barnsley rejecting the striker there are rumours that relegated Derby County and F.A. Cup finalists Cardiff City are interested in recruiting the striker, but the price tag isn`t set to be weighty as Nardiello only has a year left of a two year deal signed last summer.
