Clinton Morrison is on the verge of joining Queens Park Rangers according to several news outlets released today.

A handful of sources are today stating that the Irish international`s proposed move to W12 has been granted following his rejection of a new contract at Selhurst Park.

Subsequently Crystal Palace have withdrawn their contract offer for the Tooting born striker with manager Neil Warnock stating to the South London Press:

‘Clinton has not accepted our offer so it’s no longer on the table. I assume he must have found himself a new club.’

Morrison is expected to link up with former Palace boss Iain Dowie at Loftus Road in the next few days to thrash out a deal, however Dowie`s former club, Coventry City are still in the frame.

The Irish international scored 16 goals last season in the Championship, and has scored 41 league goals in 124 appearances in total for the Eagles since his move from Birmingham City for £2,000,000 back in 2005.

Clinton has also bagged 36 caps for the Republic of Ireland, scoring 9 goals.
