Queens Park Rangers co-owner Lakshmi Mittal is once again the richest man in football according to new research.
The FourFourTwo rich list puts the Indian steel-magnate ahead of Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al Nahyan.
Mittal is worth an estimated £18.4bn, while Sheikh Mansour has a fortune of £17bn behind the R’s steel tycoon.
Despite the brother of the ruler of Abu Dhabi increasing his funds by £2bn since January, the slump in the stock market has subsided, helping the R’s co-owner and his company ArcelorMittal increase their fortune by £6bn.
Despite being £800m better off than last year Roman Abramovich is in third place with a fortune of £7.8bn.
Bernie Ecclestone, who is Mittal’s co-owner at Queens Park Rangers occupies eighth place, worth a total of £1.466billion.
