Queens Park Rangers assistant boss Mick Harford is delighted to return to W12 alongside Paul Hart.

Harford rejected a role under Luigi De Canio after a useful caretaker tenure following the departure of John Gregory.

He insists however that he left the club on good terms and revealed to QPR.co.uk that he is delighted to return to W12.

‘It’s great to be back,’ said Mick.

‘I left here on very good terms, with the players, the supporters and the staff, but this is a new chapter for me and it’s a very exciting opportunity for me.’

The assistant manager also believed that the new partnership between him and Paul Hart will steer Rangers in the right direction, starting this Saturday.

Mick continued: ‘I know Paul (Hart) very well and we both share the same opinions on the game.

‘We like things done in a certain way and we’re both really looking forward to getting the ball rolling against Sheffield United this weekend.’

Rangers face Sheffield United this weekend, looking to build some form at home after recent disappointment.

Steve Gallen and Marc Bircham oversaw a useful performance against West Bromwich Albion, and Hart and Harford will be looking to build on the display at the Hawthorns.
