Heidar Helguson this week at last completed his move to Queens Park Rangers, much to the pleasure of Bolton Wanderers manager Gary Megson.

The Trotters boss revealed that he felt for the Icelandic striker concerning the nature of the deal:

“It is not a criticism of QPR but I do feel a bit sorry for Heidar at the moment,” Megson told the Leigh Journal

“The deal has been on, it has been off, it has been unbelievable.

“But now I understand that the deal is back on and they have the option of signing him at the end of January.”

The former West Bromwich Albion and Nottingham Forest boss will now search for options to replace the forward as the January transfer window draws ever closer.
