Mick McCarthy believes the visit of QPR to Molineux on Saturday could be a ‘dangerous game` for his Wolves side. The Ex-Republic of Ireland boss believes the experience of QPR`s new signings, including Joey Barton, Shaun Wright Phillips and Luke Young, poses ‘a real threat` and is wary of anyone thinking it will be an easy win for his side.

McCarthy was at a loss as to how the Rs failed to win against Newcastle on Monday night and believes Rangers are more dangerous side than newly promoted teams usually are. Despite praising the QPR side, the Wolves gaffer still understands the tough battle Warnock`s team faces this season and is eager to take all three points when the two sides meet on Saturday.

McCarthy also spoke of his respect for Neil Warnock stating he`s ‘somebody who gets the best out of his team whenever you play against him`. He also reluctantly admitted he cleaned Warnock`s boots whilst he was an apprentice at Barnsley, but was quick to say he would have kicked him in training because ‘he could have been anyone`.
