Former Queens Park Rangers midfielder Martin Allen has rejoined the club’s scouting network under Paul Hart.

The midfielder who made 136 appearances for Rangers before moving to West Ham United, has linked up with Hart at QPR after an unsuccessful stint with Cheltenham Town.

Allen has a wealth of scouting experience after continuing his football education beyond following his departure from Leicester City – a time that he said has improved his eye for a player.

Boss Paul Hart said: ‘We are starting to have a look at the scouting system, but over Christmas, it’s been very hard to deal with everything.

‘The scouting side of things has been difficult and we are just trying to address that now.

‘Martin’s free and is going to start having a look around for us on a part-time basis. I know him and know what he does.’

The Allen family has a good rapport with Rangers with Les Allen and his sons Clive and Bradley both playing for Rangers – along with cousin Martin.
