The March nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month Award are:

Tom Barkhuizen (Preston North End) – striker
Made the step up from League Two to the Championship look simple with five goals and an assist in March. Mobile and willing to run at defenders, he is capable of scoring special goals like his sweeping curler against Reading.

Aden Flint (Bristol City) – central defender
Ever present all season, the 27-year-old marshalled his fellow defenders superbly as City conceded just one goal in four games. He also found time to score a late winner at Wigan and produced a classy back-flick finish against Huddersfield.

Luke Freeman (Queens Park Rangers) – midfielder
Signed at the end of January, the 25-year-old has made an instant impact at Loftus Road. His guile, movement and the precision of his passing inspired QPR`s improvement during March. He also added a goal against Rotherham.

Chris Wood (Leeds United) – striker
Another stellar month for the New Zealander who scored four of Leeds` six goals. If an opportunist hooked finish against Birmingham caught the eye, the classic header in his brace against promotion rivals Brighton was equally important.

Winners will be announced on Friday 7th April 2017.
