QPR fans have voted Matthew Connolly as Rangers man of the match in the stalemate against promotion contenders Sheffield United.

The R`s once again drew a blank at home with Paddy Kenny the hero of the hour, but a plus point came with the Rangers rearguard managing an all important clean sheet at home.

Connolly was an integral figure as he featured once again in his familiar right back berth, he would not only snuff out any potential attacks from Danny Webber, but bring the ball forward with consummate ease to relieve pressure on the defensive unit.

He has ousted missing man Peter Ramage from the side with a succession of excellent displays at full back, adapting well from the more familiar position in the centre of defence.

Connolly narrowly fended off the equally impressive Jordi López, who on his second start in W12 put in a commanding midfield performance. Shortly behind him was stopper Radek Cerny who bounce back to put in a good performance between the sticks.

The top three were as follows:

1. Matthew Connolly – 35%
2. Jordi López – 31%
3. Radek Cerny – 17%
