Queens Park Rangers boss Jim Magilton was full of praise for his side after another thumping home victory.

Reading were fairly brushed aside by ten man QPR in the first half with goals from Ákos Buzsáky and Jay Simpson helping to dispel the disappointment of losing Ben Watson.

In the second period Reading suffered similar disappointment with Ívar Ingimarsson given his marching orders – Rowan Vine and Patrick Agyemang completed the rout with Brian Howard netting a consolation.

Manager Magilton believes that his side has raised the bar once more in a bid to maintain some formidable home form and attempt to reach a coveted playoff place.

‘It’s always difficult to replicate a performance like Saturday’s but no praise can be too high for my team tonight,’ Magilton told QPR.co.uk.

‘To a man, they were outstanding.

‘Akos scored a simply magnificent free-kick, but the second goal is as good as you’ll see – at any level of football.’

Jim was stinging of his criticism for referee Andy Hall, who claimed that he wouldn’t be doing his job by keeping Ben Watson on the field for taking a quick free-kick.

Nevertheless it was a moot point as Rangers ran riot once more at Loftus Road, making them 13 games undefeated on home soil and scoring 13 goals goal in their last three home games.

‘We passed the ball fantastically well at times,” Jim continued.

‘The players have raised the bar again tonight – but you don’t win anything in October, and rest assured, I’m not getting carried away.

‘The old adage that you play as you train has never been truer.

‘We work very hard in the week and we’re producing on matchdays, so I’m delighted.’

Rangers now travel to Derby County on Saturday in a late kick-off at Pride Park at the behest of BBC television.

The cameras will be there to see Jim Magilton’s rejuvenated Rangers and he will be hoping that his players can put on a show once more – this time for the world to see.
