Jim Magilton has given a cautious interview following Queens Park Rangers comfortable victory over Southampton.
While the R`s gaffer admitted that the R`s outfit surpasses the one he left at Ipswich he insists there is more to come from his side in light of the win.
Jim told QPR.co.uk: ‘We were 2-0 up at half-time but I don’t think we really played as well as we have done over the last couple of games.
‘Kaspars scored a nice goal from a set-piece, which was good to see.
‘I thought we played better in the second-half, and Adel scored a wonderful goal.”
He took time to praise the performance of Vital QPR Man of the Match Angelo Balanta as he continues his progress in the first team.
‘Angelo has been a constant threat for us throughout pre-season and I thought he took his goal very, very well,” he said.
‘His form has been a major plus for us. He has outstanding individual ability, that’s very clear to see.’
That brings to a close QPR`s pre-season with victories over Aldershot Town, Forest Green Rovers, Wycombe Wanderers, Kettering Town and Southampton.
Rangers shared the spoils against NK Celje and Oxford United, with a solitary defeat coming in Croatia against NK Karlovac.
