New Queens Park Rangers capture Jamie Mackie revealed that he jumped at the opportunity to move to Loftus Road.
Mackie penned a four-year deal earlier today, bolstering Rangers strike force for the impending NPower Championship campaign.
While Warnock revelled in the signature of the Pilgrims front-man, Mackie revealed his excitement to move to West London – in what he expects to be a promotion-challenging side.
‘There was a lot of speculation, but as soon as I heard QPR were interested I didn’t want to hear about any other clubs,’ he told QPR.co.uk.
‘I’m really excited to be here.
‘I’m excited to be working for a top Manager who knows all about the Championship.
‘From my knowledge of the League, I am sure QPR will be right up there next season and that was a massive draw for me.’
While many new signings since the take-over have uttered similar sentiments, once again there appears to be an air of genuine confidence about the Warnock regime.
