Queens Park Rangers are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected following the clash with Barnsley.

The performance by Joel Lynch in the one nil victory over Barnsley at the weekend at Loftus Road was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Lynch was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Up against it with 10 men, QPR defended doggedly to hold on for victory, with Lynch making a crucial late block to deny an equaliser.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Lynch for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Mark Oxley (Southend United), Joel Lynch (Queens Park Rangers), Sonny Bradley (Plymouth Argyle), Nathan Smith (Yeovil Town), Junior Hoilett (Cardiff City), Elliott Hewitt (Notts County), Jota (Birmingham City), Tom Huddlestone (Derby County), Sean McConville (Accrington Stanley), Sammy Ameobi (Bolton Wanderers), Ivan Cavaleiro (Wolverhampton Wanderers).

Manager – Gareth Ainsworth (Wycombe Wanderers).
