Queens Park Rangers are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Joel Lynch in the two one victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend at Loftus Road was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Lynch was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘A point for Wolverhampton Wanderers at Queens Park Rangers would have sent them back to the top of the Sky Bet Championship, but the Hoops had other ideas ? emerging 2-1 winners at Loftus Road. Lynch kept a potent Wolves attack at bay throughout, whilst having a hand in Matt Smith`s late winner when he crossed for the striker to head home.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Lynch for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.
