Mass Luongo has described last weekend’s victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers as our best showing of the season so far and he now wants to see Queens Park Rangers repeat it against Sheffield United later this evening.

Having taken the two one win at Loftus Road against in form Wolves, Luongo told the Official Site.

‘We were all over the moon after the game. I think it`s the best we`ve played this season. We are all giving each other a pat on the back because we know we deserved that win, we really did.’

Having gone into that game winless in seven – five draws – Luongo knew that we had to show consistency and the confidence boost.

‘We have been improving since Middlesbrough away. We haven`t been getting the results but in terms of the performances we`ve been flying. We have had a lot of draws recently so to finally get that win just gives us a bit of relief.’

With so many draws lately, the Australian international went on to say.

‘After those games we haven`t been saying, ‘Well, we nicked a point there,` we`ve been kicking ourselves after every game because we know how we have been playing throughout this period.’

Turning attentions to Sheffield United and the form they are in, he was focused on a similar showing to Wolves as he knew the team had shown just how good they can be, so now it’s about consistency.

‘The big test for us now is can we replicate that performance tomorrow night. I think we can. Everyone is on board and has bought into what we want to do. Everyone here wants to do better and to improve. I said before the Wolves game that they won`t ever play against a more aggressive team than us in terms of how we press and work. And I think the same can be said again ahead of Sheffield United. The performances are there. What we did against Wolves we have actually been doing for the past five or six weeks. But Saturday was probably the best we have done it. The philosophy and the mind-set stays the same, nothing changes.’
