QUEENS Park Rangers look set to announce the landmark capture of Ji-Sung Park.

The Manchester United midfielder has a wealth of experience in both domestic and European football – becoming a Premier League and Champions League winner during his time at Old Trafford.

News broke over the weekend that the South Korean, 31, looks set to make the switch to West London for a fee starting at around £2m.

Rumours of medicals taking place at the weekend ahead of a big announcement today have helped once again to propel QPR into the spotlight in what would be a landmark capture.

It is a mark of just how quickly football moves after barely a week ago Park vowed to help new team-mate Shinji Kagawa settle in at Manchester United.

Rangers are set to announce the signature today with Marc Bircham – recently turning down overtures from Nottingham Forest – indicating that this will be the first of many more.
