Reports in a tabloid newspaper today suggest that Alejandro Faurlín is a target for Real Madrid

The Spanish giants managed by former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been casting an eye over the progress of the Argentinean according to the Daily Star.

Queens Park Rangers purchased Inter Milan’s first refusal on the player in 2009 when agreeing his signature from Instituto de Córdoba.

Then boss Mourinho has reportedly made overtures regarding the signature of the central midfielder, but the 24-year-old opted for first team football in the npower Championship.

Gianni di Marzio – the man who reportedly discovered Diego Maradona – has come to the forefront of QPR’s dealings this summer. He stated:

:’Several clubs have asked about Faurlin. Even Real Madrid have been in touch.’

The cultured midfielder has made 79 appearances for QPR – most recently flourishing under Neil Warnock as the R’s lifted the Championship title.
