JERMAINE Jenas has joined Queens Park Rangers on an 18 month contract, Sky Sports have confirmed.

Jenas has signed an 18-month deal at Loftus Road, while the young wide-man Andros Townsend has penned a loan deal until the end of the current campaign.

Harry Redknapp worked with both players during his time at Spurs and will undoubtedly be hoping their additions can prove influential in QPR’s fight for survival.

Meanwhile Peter Odemwingie will not be joining QPR. The West Bromwich Albion forward, in his haste to push through a deal, showed up at Loftus Road and was promptly turned away by Rangers chiefs.
