Jim Magilton has called upon Queens Park Rangers’ travelling army to make lots of noise at St James’ Park this evening.

Rangers have sold in excess of 1,500 tickets for the long trip to face Newcastle United tonight and the boss Jim Magilton has urged them to make their voices heard.

Speaking to QPR.co.uk Magilton was keen to stress the importance of the feel-good factor at Rangers and how the supporters can be the twelfth man.

‘The staff and the players thoroughly appreciate the support shown by the R’s fans,’ said Jim.

‘They showed on Saturday just how loud they can be when they’re in full voice and all we ask is that they continue that great backing tonight.

‘We’re going there for all three points and the more noise our fans make, the better – they’ll be our twelfth man.’

The R’s are searching for their third away win on the bounce with excellent wins coming at Scunthorpe United and Cardiff City.

Magilton will no doubt be tempted to stick with the same side that thrashed Barnsley at the weekend, with Akos Buzsaky casting an imperious figure on the left-flank.
