Manager Jim Magilton has heaped praise on the Tottenham Hotspur loanee Adel Taarabt after another excellent display this weekend.

Taarabt was one of the stand-out performers as Rangers were victorious over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.

Kaspars Gork?s’ headed goal separated the sides after Jermaine Johnson had equalised Jay Simpson’s opener.

Taarabt also had a key role to play in the victory, with some pin-point passes notably for Simpson’s opening goal at Hillsborough.

With speculation regarding his future at Rangers continually under discussion, with a transfer clause reportedly in his loan deal, Jim hailed the young Moroccan’s display.

‘Adel was very, very good for us – outstanding,’ Magilton told QPR.co.uk.

‘On his day, he’s a match-winner for us and the pass he played for Jay’s goal was quite sublime.’

Jim revealed that the player has worked hard on his overall game play, and his performances have improved immensely as a result.

Taarabt was previously criticised by sections of the Loftus Road support and indeed frustrated Magilton at what was deemed a lack of vision.

His rejuvenation in form and team-work has seen him become a firm fans favourite at Loftus Road, and has certainly aroused the senses of some Spurs supporters.

Jim continued: ‘What is encouraging me most is that he’s being tactically aware of the game now.

‘His positional sense is improving all the time and there’s no doubt that he’s got a hell of a lot to offer us.

‘He’s working extremely hard for the team and if we can keep him fit and playing like he is at the moment, he will certainly win us games.’

Taarabt will join up with Moroccan team-mates today for the game against group leaders Cameroon on Saturday November 14 in the African World Cup Qualifiers.
