Jim Magilton was delighted with the capture of striker Alessandro Pellicori on a free transfer from Avellino.
The 28-year-old Italian striker`s signature was confirmed today following the player`s announcement nearly a fortnight ago that he had indeed joined QPR.
Magilton was pleased with the capture of the striker, believing him to be part of the solution to Rangers goalscoring woes last season.
‘Alessandro has done well with us during his trial period,’ Magilton told QPR.co.uk
‘He’s a natural goalscorer and we’re delighted to add him to the already healthy attacking options we have at our disposal.
‘He’ll take time to settle over here, but we’re really excited by his arrival.’
Alessandro Pellicori signed a three year contract at Loftus Road turning down a chance to reunite with his home town team Cosenza.
He has impressed during pre-season scoring two goals, against Forest Green Rovers and Kettering Town, and Magilton will hope he takes he poachers prowess into the new campaign.
