Former Queens Park Rangers player Ivor Powell MBE has entered a well-earned retirement at the age of 93.

The wing-half made 110 appearances for QPR scoring two goals between 1937-48, and remained a coach at Team Bath for over 30 years.

He was thought to be the world’s oldest football coach before opting to hang up his boots, and also made appearances for Aston Villa and Bradford City
