Former Queens Park Rangers player Ivor Powell was yesterday honoured by the Queen with an MBE.

The 91 year old who also played for Aston Villa and Blackpool, was honoured at Buckingham Palace yesterday after receiving his honour in the Queen`s New Year Honours List.

Currently the oldest football coach in the world, Ivor still plies his trade at Team Bath who were recently promoted to the Conference South after a 1-0 win over Big-Ron backed Halesowen Town.

Ivor also remains an ever present at the University of Bath, after working over 30 years with the institution.
