Young midfielder Matteo Alberti has been loaned out to Lega Pro side AC Lumezzane on a season-long loan deal.
The Brescia born midfielder has hardly set the world alight since the R’s reportedly fought off Serie A interest in the summer of 2008.
A handful of appearances combined with an extended period on the sidelines made for a relatively bit-part QPR career for the 21-year-old.
A positive boxing day performance away at Charlton in 2008 and a brace – his only two goals – against Nottingham Forest are the only stand-out points in a mediocre spell.
Now the former Chievo man returns to Italy for one season at least in a bid to rekindle his career, with his contract at Loftus Road still intact until the summer of 2012.
