GIANNI Paladini has been given the unenviable task of offloading Italian duo Alessandro Pellicori and Matteo Alberti

The pair have been out on loan in recent season’s but remain unable to impress boss Neil Warnock as the club seeks to shift the pair on.

Matteo Alberti joined Queens Park Rangers in 2008, coming highly-recommended straight from the Chievo youth system in Italy.

The Brescia-born midfielder failed to make an impact initially following a succession of injuries, but had a brief foray into the first team, scoring a brace against Nottingham Forest.

He was loaned out to AC Lumezzane last term, but failed to make a genuine impact in the Italian third tier.

Alessandro Pellicori meanwhile couldn’t find his feet after signing under Jim Magilton, scoring only in the League Cup against Exeter City.

The 30-year-old front man has had loan spells at Mantova and Torino, but once again is struggling to create significant interest.

Paladini therefore is charged with finding the duo clubs within Italy, with both having time remaining on their existing deals.
