It Can’t Be That Difficult For QPR To Tie This Man Down To A New Contract Like Some Fans Are Asking For

|

I’d have thought it would be incredibly Eze myself.

With Queens Park Rangers youngster Ebere Eze opening the scoring in our most recent pre-season season friendly in the game against Barnet earlier this week as the 20-year-old talent continues his own development, fans were quick to call for a new contract for the young lad as we certainly don’t want him to be the next one cheaply out the Loftus Road door.

Having come through our youth ranks, he now boasts nine starting appearances to his name and with an additional nine substitute showings, he’s returned two goals in that time, which despite being low, he shows all the signs of developing into a striker with a much better ratio than that. His loan spell out in the first half of 2017/18 with Wycombe is an indication of that as in 18 starting appearances and four substitute showings, he found the net five times.

He’s clearly begun pre-season in fine form though and tying him down to a long-term deal where greater financial rewards were based on development and targets would ensure he didn’t accidentally slip the wrong way.

It would also be a boost for fans.
