With Nahki Wells gone from the club, Jordan Hugill has had to take the main stage as QPR’s goalscorer – and fans have been discussing whether or not they want to sign him permanently in the summer.
The attacker managed to score against Stoke City in the club’s 4-2 win on the weekend and has a pretty decent return of 10 goals from 31 games.
There are big question marks over his Premier League wages and potential transfer fee, but with Rangers having an attacker shortage, they don’t have a plethora of options at the moment.
Hugill joined West Ham for £8m in January 2018 after a great start to the season with Preston, but only went onto make three appearances in the top tier, with them all coming from the bench.
Would you like to see Jordan Hugill sign permanently?
Yes
No
Not sure
Having only made 22 starts, his goal return of 10 has to be considered a good one, but fans aren’t sure whether that would be worth the money.
here are some of their replies below…
Would love it but we wouldn’t afford his wages and West Ham would probably want about 5m at least

Only if we can’t get anyone better I think

Only if under 3 million and under 20k a week

No chance we could afford it

No. He’ll turn 28 next season and on premier league wages, when we could take a punt on Shankland and/or find other young strikers who would be a lot cheaper

If less than a couple of million and doesn’t want silly wages. Based on this season, I’d have Ivan Toney from Peterborough, but we cannot forget about the last “hot shot” we signed from Peterborough. Reckon Toney would be too expensive though.

The R’s are having an okay season as it stands, being 11 points off the relegation zone and 11 points from the play-off places.
Scoring goals hasn’t been a problem with players such as Bright Osayi-Samuel and Eberechi Eze at their disposal, it’s the amount that they have leaked which has been the worrying point.
Nevertheless, by the time the summer comes around, they will have to make a decision on Hugill, and it seems the supporters are yet to be convinced.
