MARK Hughes is set to cast off some of last season’s key players as he looks to re-shape his squad.

Several of the key Championship winning squad are poised to leave Loftus Road in a shake-up of numbers in W12.

Clubs have been put on alert as notably Bradley Orr has been made available, while fellow defender Clint Hill is also reportedly available to leave.

Some of the squad’s periphery players are also facing the prospect of a mutual contract termination with Martin Rowlands, Lee Cook, Petter Vaagan Moen, Gary Borrowdale, Bruno Andrade and Rowan Vine all looking to get regular first team football.

Patrick Agyemang’s absence from the squad at the weekend, despite the lack of numbers, could well spell the end for the former Preston North End man.

Much like the departure of Neil Warnock, it is a disappointing end for players that just a few short months ago had very realistic prospects of playing top flight football.

A shift in ownership, management and ambitions has seen casualties already this campaign, and there could be more to come on deadline day and beyond as contracts could come to a mutual termination.
