Mark Hughes is delighted with his second signing this week as Nedum Onuoha penned a deal today (Thursday).
The Rangers boss also managed Onuoha at his former club Manchester City, something that contributed hightly to him snapping up the 25-year-old defender.
Speaking to QPR.co.uk, Hughes was evidently delighted with the capture and the club’s ability to attract a player of Nedum’s calibre.
He said: ‘Nedum is a player I know very well.
‘He did very well for me at Manchester City and played a number of games, probably more than under any other Manager.
‘He is very versatile. He can play centre back or right back, and has good pace. He is a very good addition to the squad.’
Hughes continued: ‘It’s important that we are able to attract good players here.
‘Nedum had other options but his experience with myself and the other guys here was a big factor in why he has come to us. I am pleased about that.’
The defender is available for Saturday to face Chelsea, a club he scored against for Sunderland in a surprise away win for the Black Cats last season.
