Les Ferdinand has reiterated his love for Queens Park Rangers and has lofty aspirations for the R`s.

‘Everybody always asks where my affinity lies having played for some top Clubs, but QPR was where it started for me. Unfortunately it wasn’t where it ended, but they will always hold a very fond place in my heart.” He told QPR.co.uk

‘I had a great eight years here and then went to Newcastle. They were the greatest Club I played for because I had successful times there, whereas we struggled a bit here. But everyone knows QPR are my Club and I’ve always said that.’

Sir Les certainly has big aspirations for QPR, and admits he would love to see the R`s back challenging in the Premier League once again.

‘It would be great to see the Club back in the Premiership,’ he said.

‘That’s the one hope I’ve always had since the day I left here, and since the day the Club got relegated.”

‘I want to see us back competing with the big boys again and with the backing they’ve got here now, it doesn’t appear to be impossible. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than seeing the R’s back in the Premiership.’

Les signed for the R`s from Hayes and made 183 appearances for QPR, before moving to aforementioned clubs Newcastle and Spurs for £6,000,000. A well respected professional, Les racked up 17 international caps, scoring 5 goals.
