Ian Holloway has confirmed he is interested in the vacant manager`s position at Hearts of Midlothian.
The former Bristol Rovers, Plymouth Argyle and Queens Park Rangers boss has aroused the interests of Vladimir Romanov after Mark McGhee turned down the role at Tynecastle.
“I am definitely interested in the job.” Holloway told The Mail
“Hearts have spoken to my agent and they are aware of my interest, although I understand they have some concerns that I don’t yet have my pro-licence.”
“However, I’ve been in management for several years. I haven’t had time to do all the badges, although I am currently working on my ‘B’ badge.”
Holloway will face competition from former Bradford City boss Jim Jefferies, as well as another ex-Leicester boss, Craig Levein.
Ian Holloway has yet to receive the relevant coaching qualifications, however has a wealth of experience in the Football League, managing a total of 602 games, with a win percentage of 38%.
