Junior Hoilett is on the verge of being announced a Queens Park Rangers player – a report today read.

Sky Sports are this evening reporting that the 22-year-old has opted to remain in England despite interest from Germany, and has decided to call time on his Blackburn Rovers career.

The lively wide-man was part of the Rovers side that was ultimately relegated to the npower Championship and looked destined to depart Ewood Park as speculation mounted throughout the summer.

The Canadian scored seven times in a troubled Rovers side in 37 appearances last term. Blackburn will be entitled to compensation as part of any deal Hoilett is under the age of 24.
