Queens Park Rangers defender Fitz Hall has suffered an injury blow after tearing a groin muscle in training.

The injury took place in training on Wednesday with Hall being sent for a scan on what was determined as a grade one muscle tear.

Physio Paul Hunter has been busy in recent weeks and he told QPR.co.uk that while Hall is set for a period on the sidelines, it wasn’t as bad as first feared.

‘We sent Fitz for a scan and although the damage isn’t as bad as we first feared, he’s set for a spell on the sidelines,” he said.

‘It’s purely a muscle strain. It’s a blow, because Fitz has been looking and feeling great in the early part of the season.

‘Obviously we’ll continue to monitor the situation over the next few weeks and hopefully have him back in contention sooner rather than later.’

Hall is set to miss the coming home double header against Peterborough United and Crystal Palace, and he undoubtedly have to recover quickly to make the all-important Chelsea cup tie.
