FITZ Hall has confirmed that he is to leave Queens Park Rangers

As as been anticipated for quite some time, the mass exodus from QPR begins in earnest. Defender Fitz Hall confirmed today that he will be leaving Loftus Road.

Signing for the club under Luigi de Canio in January 2008, the central defender fell shy of 100 appearances for Rangers following his debut against Chelsea.

He achieved two promotions in his time at Loftus Road, firstly on loan at Newcastle United, before latterly helping QPR to the top flight in 2010-2011.

Hall stated that he was disappointed not to be informed by manager Mark Hughes personally, but took the time to thank QPR supporters via his Twitter acount.

He said: ‘Sad day for me just been told my contract is not being renewed at QPR. Been at the club 5yrs would of liked to of heard it frm the manager.

‘Just want to wish everyone associated with QPR all the best for the future! Thank you for all your support, the club is in good hands.’

Hall is expected to be one of many to depart this summer as Hughes looks to reshape a squad that narrowly escaped relegation on the final day of the Premier League season.
