John Gorman is rumoured to be one of the key candidates for the vacant post at Wycombe Wanderers.
The former Chairboys boss saw Wycombe’s 3-2 away defeat at Gillingham, but it is unsure as to what capacity he attended.
There is a great deal of good feeling between Gorman and Wycombe, owing to a positive spell in charge of the Chairboys and laying the foundations for promotion pushes under Paul Lambert and Peter Taylor.
Gorman left Adams Park owing to personal reasons after a family bereavement and the tragic loss of midfielder Mark Philo in a car crash.
Wycombe are expected to announce their new boss on Monday, wasting little time after the mutual departure of Taylor on Friday.
