Queens Park Rangers have announced their list of departing players today.

The list is fronted by defenders Peter Ramage, Danny Gabbidon, Fitz Hall and Dan Shittu.

Ramage joined from Newcastle United under Iain Dowie in 2008 after making the brave decision to move on from boyhood club Newcastle United.

He turned a lot of sceptical supporters around with displays brimming with passion and enthusiasm that would befit a fan on the field.

The 28-year-old played a small part of Rangers’ promotion campaign despite picking up an anterior cruciate ligament at the commencement of the campaign 2010-11 season.

He is joined by Fitz Hall, a player who announced himself that he would be leaving yesterday (May 20).

Hall was one of Rangers’ longest serving players, joining under Luigi de Canio in January 2008. He made nearly a century of appearances for Rangers while achieving two promotions in his time at Loftus Road.

Dan Shittu and Danny Gabbidon had their respective parts to play in being a good stop-gap in Rangers’ respective ambitions during 2011.

Shittu, a fans’ favourite, joined in the back end of the Championship winning campaign to help QPR over the line, while Gabbidon partnered Anton Ferdinand at the heart of the rearguard in the early offing of the Premier League.

A mention for Lee Cook must also not go awry, with the winger and QPR fan paying money back to the club when he left for pastures new and Fulham in 2007.

Cook fell out of favour and never truly recovered from a succession of knee injuries that blighted his progress – he was loaned out to Leyton Orient and latterly League One Champions, Charlton Athletic.

A once dangerous duo in Patrick Agyemang and Rowan Vine saw their long, lucrative deals come to a conclusion also.

Agyemang and Vine arrived from Preston North End and Birmingham City respectively during the reign of prosperity under Flavio Briatore.

Initially both players put in a stunning run of form, before the goals ran dry for the hot-shot Ghanaian international and a leg break in training for Vine saw form dramatically dip.

Agyemang did play a role in Rangers campaigns in recent seasons, but Vine has been somewhat of a ghost, seldom seen around Loftus Road while loan spells failed to materialise in a permanent deal.

Finally Gary Borrowdale also left the club today. A defender that only truly appeared under Jim Magilton, he was released today as part of the mass exodus.

Vital QPR gives thanks to all of those above and wishes them the very best for the future
