Queens Park Rangers striker is looking to display his credentials while on loan at League Two Aldershot.

The 17-year-old forward joined Gary Waddock’s Aldershot Town on loan during the week and made his debut in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat to Hereford United last night.

He made an impression on the game in the early stages with some bright touches, and even managed to get a couple of shots away.

He told the BBC that he was looking to gain experience and perhaps an extension to his initial one-month loan deal.

‘I’m happy that I could gain experience and show them what I can do so I can back to QPR and they can see,” said German.

‘First team experience is valuable so my gaffer can see what I can do.’

German was still plying his trade in the Centre of Excellence when Gary Waddock was at the helm at Queens Park Rangers but nevertheless he remembers the former QPR midfielder fondly.

‘He’s a great guy, he’s seen me play before and he just recommended me to come and I’m here!’

Should German impress sufficiently Aldershot have an option to extend the deal beyond the initial month, and the early signs show that renewal could be a strong possibility.
