Bristol City boss Gary Johnson may not travel to Loftus Road for the Boxing Day clash after being laid low with a bug.

The Robins’ gaffer has contracted a bug, according to assistant manager Keith Millen and may not be back in time to face Queens Park Rangers after Christmas Day.

‘He’s got a cold and a bit of a chest infection,’ Millen told bcfc.co.uk.

‘I’m speaking to him all the time on the phone at the moment but he’s not feeling great.

‘He could miss the Boxing Day match but we don’t know for sure yet.’

Meanwhile there are also doubts over midfielder Marvin Elliott with the midfielder withdrawn after coming on as a substitute against Reading with a knee complaint.

Millen revealed that he is City’s only fitness worry going into the weekend, and a late test will be granted to see whether he can make the game in time.

‘Marvin’s desperate to be involved but we’ll have to check on him before the game. He’s our only fitness worry in the squad.’ he said.

Meanwhile for City Ivan Sproule (hamstring) and Brian Wilson (shin) miss out with their respective long-term complaints.
