The caretaker boss rallies the troops ahead of the fixture live on Sky later this afternoon.

The no-nonsense winger who signed for the R`s in the summer of 2003 along with Martin Rowlands, is affectionately known as Wild Thing as is relishing his fist game in charge following the departure of Iain Dowie.

‘It’s a baptism of fire for me,’ Ainsworth told QPR.co.uk

‘I’ve been thrown in at the deep end, but I’m here now and I’m very proud to be leading the side against Reading.

‘All I ask is that the fans cheer their hearts out over the course of the 90 minutes and show their undying support for the Club.

‘Whatever happens, we’re QPR together and that will always be the case.’
