Michel Salgado of Real Madrid is the latest in a string of audacious rumours of who will be joining Queens Park Rangers before the start of the season.

Reports have surfaced in the Daily Star that Rangers will make an outlandish attempt to sign the Real Madrid legend.

The defender who has 53 international caps to his name started out with his home town club Celta Vigo, before getting the call to join Real Madrid in 1998 for a reported 11,000,000 Euros.

He has since spent a decade at the Bernabau participating in two Champions League wins and four La Liga titles.

The 32-year-old has been a loyal servant to Real, and only a bid of Galactico proportions could tear him away from the capital.
