Vital QPR takes a look at the Rangers players plying their trade away from Loftus Road.

Watford made the long trip to Tyneside to face run-away leaders Newcastle United with Rangers’ forward Heidar Helgsuon named in the starting line-up.

He started alongside Danny Graham in the Hornets attack as they looked to topple the Magpies from their lofty perch.

It didn’t start well for Watford as Peter Løvenkrands finished off a flowing move to hand Newcastle a deserved lead.

Into the second half and Kevin Nolan was shown a straight red card for his foul on Henri Lansbury, but debutante Fabrice Pancrate scored a stunning solo goal to settle the game for the ten men.

Down in Yorkshire and Hogan Ephraim was named on the bench for the derby between Leeds United and Huddersfield Town.

Robert Snodgrass opened the scoring for the hosts, before Lee Novak levelled from close range in the second period.

Fellow loanee Max Gradel put Leeds back in front before Town levelled again through an impeccable header by Jordan Rhodes.

Ephraim replaced Robert Snodgrass with four minutes remaining, but couldn’t get a foot-hold on the encounter that finished in a pulsating 2-2 draw.

The young loanees saw their Salisbury side make a tough trip to playoff hopefuls Kettering Town, as the Whites looked to dispel a poor run.

Joe Oastler started for Salisbury in midfield, while Lee Brown remained on the bench owing to an injury picked up in his previous encounter.

Things didn’t start well when Anthony Elding struck home from the spot to hand the Poppies the lead, but goals from top-scorer Matt Tubbs and Stuart Anderson either side of half time, sealed a crucial win.

Brown was eventually introduced with little over ten minutes remaining as Tommy Widdrington looked to sure up his defence in the final moments.
