Four Defeats On The Spin Pile The Pressure On QPR & McClaren

Fresh from a 7-1 hammering to West Bromwich Albion at the weekend, Queens Park Rangers were looking for some home comforts as we hosted Bristol City at Loftus Road this evening.

With ten goals conceded in our opening three Championship games of the 2018/19 season we’ve never begun a year as badly as we have done this time around and a clean sheet and all three points were badly needed going into this game to get us off the mark for the year and grow some confidence.

Optimism we’d achieve that wasn’t high heading towards kick-off and the game has a habit of kicking you in the football’s when you’re down and the visitors did just that to us tonight.

QPR did put in an improved performance in many ways but we still fell to a 3-0 defeat as Matty Taylor gave them the lead shortly before halftime and Andreas Weimann added two more in the second half of the game to tie the points up.

Whether fans are willing to take the positives on offer remains to be seen, but I doubt it whilst disappointment and frustration continues to be the overriding emotion.
