Former QPR striker, Daniel Nardiello, today joined Exeter City on a permanent deal, following his release by Blackpool.

Nardiello, remarkably still only aged 27, started his career as a Wolverhampton junior, before switching to Manchester United, where he made two appearances in the League Cup.

In 2003, he joined Swansea City on loan, making 4 appearances, followed by two separate loan spells at Barnsley, before finally joining them permanently in 2005.

QPR manager of the day, John Gregory, snapped him up in 2007, where he failed to score, but eight appearances later, he was loaned out again to, yes, you guessed it, Barnsley.

Sold to Blackpool in 2008, Nardiello made seven appearances for the Tangerines, where he failed to score and was subsequently loaned to Hartlepool, Bury and Oldham before returning to Blackpool.

Nardiello even found time to make three appearances for the Welsh national side in 2007, without scoring.

Has the countrywide tour finally ended in the West Country?
